Job summary

LJA Engineering, Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support land development drainage studies and design. You will contribute to hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and coordinate with clients to deliver optimized development plans.

You will assist in managing multiple studies, prepare scopes and budgets, and help prepare presentation materials, with emphasis on collaboration across internal teams and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses around Harris County or similar environments.
• Proficient in HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
• Experience with advanced H&H modeling (XP-Storm or 2D modeling) is a plus.
• Strong report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing multiple H&H studies for Land Development Projects.
• Review project requirements to determine models for analysis.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and guide drafting staff.
• Coordinate with internal clients to obtain needed data.
• Prepare scopes and budgets for review by the H&H Project Manager.
• Assist with presentation materials and coordinating large projects.
