Job summary

LJA Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for Land Development to deliver drainage analyses and design support for diverse clients. The role leads PE and EIT teams, coordinating projects and client communications to optimize conservation and development plans.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license, and 7–10 years of H&H experience with RAS/HMS/Unsteady/2D/ICPR/XP-SWMM. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 7-10 years experience in H&H analysis and design.
• Proficient in commonly used H&H software (RAS, HMS, Unsteady, 2D, ICPR, XP-SWMM).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct a large engineering project with complex features.
• Lead a team of PE’s and EIT’s to produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports.
• Manage daily operations and schedules for H&H analysis to support Land Division.
• Apply standard and advanced modeling techniques in hydrology/hydraulics.
• Interact with clients and other consultants; maintain strong relationships.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Project Manager at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for providing various drainage analyses and design support to our land development clients. The H&H group creates drainage studies in support of design for our diverse client base that incorporates their specific needs while providing the added benefits of optimized conservation, amenities, and effective land development plans.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Project Manager will coordinate and direct a large and important engineering project or several smaller projects with many complex features.
• Participate with and lead a team of PE’s and EIT’s to produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports as requested.
• Responsible for the daily operations and schedules for H&H engineering analysis to support the Land Division
• Use standard and advanced modeling techniques, theory, and practices in hydrology and hydraulics-related disciplines.
• The Project Manager will interact with Clients and other consultants and must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering, or related degree
• Licensed Professional Engineer

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7-10 years experience in H&H analysis and design
• Proficient in commonly used H&H software (RAS, HMS, Unsteady, 2D, ICPR, XP-SWMM)
