Job summary

ENFRA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager through the project life cycle on commercial and industrial HVAC/mechanical installations in Florida. The role involves pricing, budgeting, estimating, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining schedules to deliver projects on time and under budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering or related field; practical industry experience considered.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and multitasking capable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to handle multiple ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe, productive work environment by coordinating safety meetings and investigations.
• Support project managers and superintendents in executing the project life cycle.
• Coordinate HVAC and plumbing installation planning to meet code, requirements, and schedules.
• Participate in meetings to support departmental and project goals.
• Prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders, submittals, and shop drawings reflecting contract documents.
• Contribute to monthly reports and cost reviews to keep projects on time and budget.
• Assist in estimating change orders and project close-out including commissioning requirements.
• Collaborate with project team across all phases to develop professional skills in the mechanical trades.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering

Reading construction plans

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
