Aero Mechanical, Inc., one of the leading mechanical contractors in the area, has an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Project Manager - HVAC and Plumbing in our Johnston, RI office. Join our team of professionals to apply your construction project knowledge and skills to provide administrative and operational assistance to the Project Managers, ensuring efficient execution of construction projects both on-site and in the office.

You will work closely with project teams and key stakeholders to support seamless project progress.

We seek a team player with proven ability to manage overall HVAC and Plumbing construction projects from initiation to completion.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Project Management team with daily duties, identifying and resolving issues.
2. Prepare and manage submittals.
3. Maintain material/equipment status and tracking logs.
4. Prepare and manage RFIs.
5. Track and manage material and equipment purchase orders.
6. Track and manage change orders.
7. Assist in change order pricing.
8. Prepare project closeout documents.
9. Communicate effectively with project team members, subcontractors, and clients.
10. Support quality control measures to meet project specifications.
11. Check shop drawings, conduct site visits, and assist as needed.
12. Maintain up-to-date project drawings and files.
13. Communicate with the Project Management team and other coordinators.
14. Formulate reports on work progress, costs, and scheduling.
15. Promote safety and enforce project-specific safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Understanding of the project management process in construction.
• 1-3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in HVAC and plumbing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and conscientious.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under deadlines.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Familiarity with scheduling software, MS Office, MS Project, and Procore is helpful.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
