Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a large multiyear highway program. You will support the project manager on cost and schedule, administer subcontracts and RFIs, and help keep submittals and change orders on track, working closely with field teams to maintain on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects, a four-year construction degree, and strong communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer or APM.
• Four year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Civil Engineering.
• Solid with submittals, RFIs, quantities and pay estimates.
• FDOT or Turnpike experience is a plus.
• Clear writer and communicator under schedule pressure.
• Primavera P6, HCSS or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Based in Central Florida or ready to relocate to the Lakeland area.

Responsibilities

• Support the project manager on cost, schedule and resource planning.
• Administer subcontracts and purchase orders, and coordinate subs and suppliers.
• Manage submittals, RFIs and change order paperwork with the owner.
• Track quantities, pay items and monthly pay estimates.
• Coordinate crews, material and equipment with the superintendents.
• Keep permits, licenses and project documentation current.
• Help update the schedule and the cost forecast.
• Back the field on safety and quality.
• Report progress to the project manager and the owner.
