Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a large multiyear highway program. You will work with the project manager on planning, subcontracts, and contract administration to keep costs in check and the project on schedule.

This onsite role offers a full benefits package and a clear path to advance to Project Manager as the program progresses, with opportunities to lead field coordination and ensure safety and quality throughout the highway work.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with submittals, RFIs, quantities, and pay estimates.
• FDOT or Turnpike experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication under schedule pressure.
• Primavera P6, HCSS or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Based in Central Florida or willing to relocate to the Lakeland area.

Responsibilities

• Support the project manager on cost, schedule and resource planning
• Administer subcontracts and purchase orders, and coordinate subs and suppliers
• Manage submittals, RFIs and change order paperwork with the owner
• Track quantities, pay items and monthly pay estimates
• Coordinate crews, material and equipment with the superintendents
• Keep permits, licenses and project documentation current
• Help update the schedule and the cost forecast
• Back the field on safety and quality
• Report progress to the project manager and the owner
