Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a large multiyear heavy civil highway program in Lakeland, Florida.

You will assist the project manager with planning, subcontracts, and contract administration to keep the project on budget and on schedule. This onsite role requires 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects, a four-year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Civil Engineering, and strong submittal/RFI skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years on heavy civil highway or bridge projects as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer or APM.
• Four year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Civil Engineering.
• Solid with submittals, RFIs, quantities and pay estimates.
• FDOT or Turnpike experience is a plus.
• Clear writer and communicator under schedule pressure.
• Primavera P6, HCSS or Bluebeam is a plus.
• Based in Central Florida or ready to relocate to the Lakeland area.

Responsibilities

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a large multiyear highway program in the Lakeland and Polk County area. This is a strong next step for a Project Engineer ready to move up, or an APM who wants a big job with a long runway and a stable employer. You'll work alongside the project manager on planning, subcontracts and contract administration so the job stays on budget and on schedule, much of it state highway work. Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
