Job summary

Bozzuto is hiring an Assistant Project Manager in New Haven, CT. You will support negotiations, manage drawings and specifications, and lead QA/QC and subcontractor coordination to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and on-budget performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred; or 3-5 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in construction management of multifamily, tenant fit out or hospitality renovation projects in the $1 million - $10 million range.
• Thorough knowledge of project budgeting and job costing.
• General contracting and/or construction subcontracting experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proven supervisory/management skills and ability to motivate/manage team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with negotiations, scopes of work, change orders, submittals and RFIs.
• Help manage construction drawings, specifications and related documents.
• Take a leadership role in QA/QC, material expediting and tracking.
• Aid in managing subcontractors and other team members.
• Ensure all onsite operations are conducted safely, on-time, on-budget and to quality standards.
• Build strong client/owner relationships and support business development.
• Coordinate purchasing of essential safety supplies, products, or training items.
