Job summary

CW Resources, Inc. seeks a proactive Food Service Assistant Project Manager to lead daily galley operations for military personnel in Natick, MA. You will supervise staff, ensure timely, high-quality meals, and enforce food safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in food service with supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office. This role is on-site with potential for process improvement and teamwork within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food service or kitchen management.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in food service, hospitality, or institutional dining.
  • Solid understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and kitchen operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communication skills for directing staff and interacting with leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the galley, ensuring smooth and efficient food service to uniformed military personnel.
  • Provide guidance, and elevate any issues to leadership as necessary.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise galley staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient food preparation and service.
  • Communicate clear job responsibilities and performance expectations to all team members.
  • Ensure staff members follow proper food safety protocols, including sanitation and handling of food items.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety standards, health codes, and military regulations.
  • Assist in the oversight of proper storage, preparation, and serving of food to meet health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, ordering necessary supplies, and ensuring kitchen equipment is functional and in good condition.
  • Track and adjust attendance records, manage staff schedules, and make payroll adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring it meets the required standards for taste, appearance, and nutritional value.
  • Perform final checks on meals to ensure proper portioning and dietary requirements are met.
  • Ensure the dining experience meets the needs of military personnel, maintaining high levels of satisfaction and resolving any customer complaints or issues promptly.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the galley, ensuring that all food preparation areas, serving lines, and dining spaces are kept clean and sanitary.

What You Need to be Successful:

  • ServSafe or other food safety certification.
  • Familiarity with military regulations related to food service, health codes, and dietary restrictions.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and scheduling software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and military personnel.
  • Ability to resolve operational challenges quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and RealID.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods, especially during meal preparation and service.
