Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG), a Quanta Services, Inc. company, seeks an Assistant Project Manager II to support planning, coordination, and execution of complex projects.

You will work closely with the Project Manager across engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, client presentations, and construction activities from development through execution in Amarillo, TX. The role offers exposure to multiple projects, opportunities to support proposals, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of construction project experience, including exposure to project planning, engineering, estimating, bidding, procurement, subcontract administration, scheduling, cost control, or document control.
• Experience with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or design-build project delivery.
• Experience in the power delivery industry, including substations, transmission, or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project schedule development, monitor progress, and prepare monthly project reviews for project leadership and senior management.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews, support project closeouts, and prepare post-construction cost reports.
• Assist with purchase orders, subcontract packages, vendor scopes of work, and contract schedules.
• Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and efforts to improve project quality and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Safety personnel on project-specific safety plans, incident reporting, and investigations.
• Manage RFIs through the document management system and maintain accurate project records.
• Coordinate project closeout, warranty administration, and lessons-learned reviews.
• Assist the Project Manager with assigned duties and provide project management coverage when qualified.
• Follow established company standards, policies, and procedures.
