We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer to assist our Los Angeles/Orange County remediation projects and clients. This full-time, hybrid position is based out of our Costa Mesa, CA office location.

Duties/Responsibilities
In this position, you will:

  • Serve as a key member of the environmental group with the ability to step in and immediately assist projects in southern California.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with challenging projects.
  • Understand client needs and develop strong client relationships.
  • Have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in California.
  • Assist project managers with financial, technical, and regulatory aspects of projects.
  • Help meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including client and regulatory deliverables.
  • Coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Coach and mentor junior field staff.
  • Learn quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Assist with directing environmental field observation and testing programs.
  • Support various remediation projects.
  • Develop an understanding of H&A's other consulting practice areas and support marketing efforts.
Skills/Experience
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering; MS preferred.
  • 6-8 years of relevant consulting experience in Southern California, including environmental regulations, investigations, remediation, and construction.
  • CA PE/PG registration or ability to obtain within 6 months (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technical report writing.
  • Ability to adhere to company principles and code of conduct.
The salary range in Costa Mesa, CA is $95,000 - $105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Actual compensation will vary accordingly.
