Assistant Manager - Education at STV, New Jersey

STV is seeking an Assistant Manager for our PM/CM group in New Jersey. We are looking for dynamic individuals to work on K-12 and Higher Education projects, including roles such as Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Assistant Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize cross-functional activities and coordinate project efforts to ensure timely completion of project deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
  2. Manage and direct proposal development, project initiation, execution/control, and closeout for construction projects.
  3. Oversee project budgets, handle extra work requests, and manage invoicing.
  4. Participate in marketing efforts, proposal preparation, and presentations to secure projects.
  5. Plan project execution and develop comprehensive project manuals.
  6. Work with Senior Managers to monitor manpower requirements and ensure alignment with project budgets and performance metrics.
  7. Manage project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communication, coordination, resources, procurement, and risk to optimize client service and fiscal responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in K-12 or Higher Education construction projects starting from $20M.
  • Ability to follow direction and assist senior team members from procurement through project closeout.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with BIM, P6, Procore, or E-builder is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reading and reviewing project contract documents to determine scope and deliverables.

Preferred but not required: LEED, DBIA, PMP, CCM, RA, PE certifications; formal project management training.

Compensation Range: $78,837.35 - $105,116.46
