Job summary

Michels Trenchless, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of smaller projects under a Project Manager.

You will review proposals, understand scope, timelines, budgets, and resource needs, and assist with subcontractor management. You will maintain documentation for accounting, cost reporting, scheduling, procurement, and budgeting, prepare reports for management, coordinate schedules with field teams, attend construction-related meetings, and document

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with project financials, scheduling, risk management and reporting.
• Experience with multiple project delivery methods including Design Bid Build and Design Build.
• PMI-PMP or PE is desired but not required.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposals and plans to understand scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Assist with contract and subcontractor management from initial discussions through close-out.
• Maintain documentation for accounting, cost reporting, scheduling, procurement, and budgeting.
• Prepare reports for management and coordinate project schedules with field teams.
• Attend construction meetings and document activities; assist with proposals and estimates.
