Job summary

McShane Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support multi-family, industrial, or commercial construction projects. You’ll learn to drive safety, timeliness, and quality across the project lifecycle while preparing schedules, buyout documents, and risk plans.

Role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of construction management experience. This in-person position is split between a local office and jobsite in Madison, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction management.
• Knowledge of project controls, construction methods, building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to use or learn construction management software (CMiC, Bluebeam, Salus, PlanGrid, MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preconstruction activities: proposals, bid analysis, constructability reviews, and preliminary project schedules.
