Job summary

McShane Construction is seeking a Multifamily Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of multi-family projects, ensuring safety, timeliness, budgets, and quality standards. You will build client-contractor relationships, manage expectations, and mentor teams while mastering project financials.

The role involves collaboration with preconstruction and marketing teams, managing owner contracts, and supervising project control documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in construction management.
• Proficiency in managing project controls and understanding construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to use or learn construction management software (CMiC, Bluebeam, Salus, PlanGrid, MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with preconstruction and marketing teams on proposals, bid analysis, constructability reviews, and preliminary project schedules.
• Analyze and manage owner contracts, ensure compliance with claim provisions.
• Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and risk mitigation plans during buyout phases.
• Administer project control documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Manage subcontractor and owner changes and forecast costs for accurate reporting.
• Prepare owner billings and approve subcontractor/vendor payments promptly.
• Develop or assist with the preparation of project schedules and updates.
• Support the project team in implementing the company’s Quality Manual and address consultant inspection reports monthly.
• Enforce safety program and ensure site-specific safety plans are completed.
• Conduct job site safety audits and provide recommendations at weekly meetings.
• Oversee, train, and mentor project management staff on the project.

Preconstruction

• Collaborate with preconstruction and marketing teams on proposals, bid analysis, constructability reviews, and preliminary project schedules.

Safety

• Conduct Job Site Safety Audits and provide recommendations at weekly coordination meetings.

Team Management

• Oversee, train, and mentor project management staff assigned to the project.
• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting professional growth and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in construction management.
