Job summary

CMC DESIGN BUILD in the Greater Boston area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project managers from start-up through close-out, coordinating tasks and documentation. You will assist with files, schedules, drawings, vendor bids, purchase orders, and change orders, while maintaining clear communication with subcontractors and field personnel.

Ideal candidates have a Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred, at least 1 year in a similar role, and strong MS Office

Qualifications

• Construction Management or Engineering Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role in Commercial Construction.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with tasks from project start-up to close out.
• Prepare and maintain files, schedules, & logs.
• Review drawings and provide input when needed.
• Locate vendors, prepare bid packages, and receive proposals.
• Draft purchase orders, subcontracts and change orders.
• Assist with the permitting process.
• Distribute drawings and communicate with subcontractors and field personnel.
• Assist with invoice review and coding.
• Visit sites regularly and participate in construction processes.
• Assist with punch lists and close out materials.
