Job summary

LI Group is seeking a Construction/Project Manager to support PMs through the full project life cycle in Minnesota. You will track progress, liaise with clients and field teams, and handle escalations, documentation, and procurement.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction management, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office. The role offers full-time hours, remote day options, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
  • Knowledge in contracts, blueprints, and related software applications preferred.
  • Experience communicating with municipalities' building and inspections departments preferred.
  • Problem solving and prioritization abilities to keep projects on track.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management, forward-thinking and team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PPT).
  • Comfortable making decisions and providing direction to project staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the PM to establish project objectives.
  • Manage project documentation (permits, licenses, submittals, RFIs, workplans, COIs, W-9, etc).
  • Manage purchasing of materials, subcontractors, and equipment rentals.
  • Plan, organize, and direct construction activities to achieve project objectives.
  • Familiarity with plans, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Create construction estimates based on plans or material takeoffs.
  • Develop a construction schedule with milestones and deliverables.
  • Meet code requirements and select subcontractors.
  • Set up and maintain project tracking tools and costs.
  • Provide direction to coordinators and field crews.
  • Manage escalations from field installers and internal coordinators.
  • Coordinate installers, check-ins, and QA for deliverables.
  • Develop project-specific training documents for field crews.
  • Monitor and report progress to PM and executives.
  • Track reporting and deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Help manage and control expenses for each project.
  • Ensure POs and Change Orders are provided to accounting.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Attend internal and external meetings and participate in pre-site calls.
  • Support other departments when needed.
  • On-call after normal hours.

In this role, you will support the Project Managers in the Construction department throughout the entire project life cycle. You will track project progress, communicate with clients & the field, handle escalations and much more.

ResponsibilitiesInclude:

  • Collaborate with the PM to establish project objectives

  • Managing purchasing of materials, subcontractors, and equipment rentals
  • Work with superintendent to plan, organize, and direct construction activities to achieve project objectives
  • Familiarity with plans, specifications, and scope of work
  • Bidding: assist in creating a construction estimate based on plans or a material take off
  • Develop a construction schedule with project deliverables and milestones
  • Understanding and drive to meet code requirements
  • Choose subcontractors and delegate responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain project tracking tools, including tracking site statuses and costs
  • Provide direction and support to coordinators and field crews
  • Manage escalations from field installers as well as internal coordinators
  • Coordinate and manage installers, check in’s and QA for deliverables
  • Develop project-specific training documents for field crews
  • Monitor and report on project progress to PM and executives
  • Track project reporting and deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Help manage and control expenses for each project
  • Ensure POs and Change Orders are provided to accounting
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Attending and assisting with internal and external meetings
  • Pre-Site calls to jobsites

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Construction Management, Project Management or related field required
  • Knowledge in construction field, fixture installs and/or rollout work is highly preferred
  • Knowledge in contracts, blueprints, and related software applications highly preferred
  • Experience communicating with municipalities building and inspections department preferred
  • Problem solving and prioritization abilities to focus on core deliverables to keep projects on track
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Full Time Benefits:

  • Pay Range: $60,000-$65,000
  • Potential profit sharing in the form of annual bonus
