Job description

Path Construction is seeking a qualified Assistant Project Manager to join our organization in Dallas, TX. We are a rapidly growing commercial general contractor with offices across the United States, including Arlington Heights, IL; Dallas, TX; Scottsdale, AZ; Knoxville, TN; Charlotte, NC; and Tampa, FL. Our projects span various asset classes such as Healthcare, Education, Retail, Hospitality, and more.

The responsibilities of an Assistant Project Manager include managing subcontractors and suppliers, contract administration, procurement, estimating, handling pay requests, change orders, RFIs, cost control, scheduling, tracking submittals, and maintaining quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of construction management experience on diverse projects, demonstrating strong technical, communication, and attention to detail skills.

Key Duties
  1. Contract and subcontract administration
  2. Monitoring and documenting site safety
  3. Construction scheduling
  4. Procurement and expediting materials and equipment
  5. Processing RFIs
  6. Reviewing shop drawings and submittals
  7. Managing project costs and reporting
  8. Reviewing subcontractor payment applications
  9. Participating in project meetings
  10. Supervising subcontractors' field work
  11. Negotiating change proposals and change orders
  12. Researching construction methods and quality control
  13. Project closeout activities
  14. Implementing safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of construction management experience
  • OSHA safety certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAGE 300 CRE
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with public projects, estimating, or self-perform work
  • OSHA 30-hour training
  • LEED project experience
