Job Description

Large GC looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work on large affordable multifamily construction renovations throughout Cincinnati, OH.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing comprehensive scopes and RFPs
  2. Estimating projects
  3. Creating, managing, and maintaining comprehensive project schedules
  4. Executing subcontractor bidding procedures, including developing scopes of work, bid lists, and unit cost bid comparisons
  5. Interfacing with the owner and/or owner’s representative on schedule, requisitions, and critical project issues
  6. Creating and managing correspondence, RFIs, change orders, etc.
  7. Motivating, developing, and maintaining subcontractor interest in the project(s)
  8. Preparing and monitoring project budgets
  9. Preparing AIA payment application documents
  10. Coordinating with local building departments to obtain permits and managing project closeout with officials
  11. Managing construction scheduling, sequencing, anticipating long lead items, and recognizing critical paths
  12. Managing and administering owner change orders
  13. Scheduling and conducting meetings with owners, architects, and construction managers, including preparing and distributing minutes
  14. Holding weekly production and safety meetings; monitoring site safety
  15. Reviewing jobsite progress with a focus on quality and conformance to drawings and specifications
  16. Reviewing subcontractor requisitions monthly
  17. Creating and maintaining field reports using field reporting software

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of project management experience
  • OSHA-10 certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is a plus
  • Computer proficiency; Timberline experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the construction process, management techniques, methods, and materials
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of various teams and committees
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
  • Ability to process requests quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Deadline-driven
