Position Overview

Monitor and follow up on project procurement, control, and scheduling. Ensure project scope, meeting minutes, job safety, quality assurance, and change order requests are in compliance with contract documents. Monitor, control, and update project schedules, owner contracts, and construction contracts. Serve as a technical source of information on project plans, specifications, requests for information, and shop drawings.

Functions Of Position
  1. Provide project management under the supervision and direction of a project manager.
  2. Implement duties with accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Ensure all project estimates conform to project requirements and support their integrity.
  4. Review and monitor design and construction documents for conformance with budget, schedule, and contracts.
  5. Coordinate bidding process, review subcontractor bids, and prepare negotiations and contracts.
  6. Monitor owner change orders and control job cost systems.
  7. Assist in preparing forecasts, cost reports, and billing forecasts.
  8. Ensure project activities and closeout efforts meet standards and specifications.
  9. Support project engineer and field roles as needed.
  10. Review submittals and RFIs for compliance and project needs.
  11. Participate in and chair meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on actions.
  12. Manage change order requests and maintain documentation.
  13. Maintain scheduling information and files.
  14. Apply for permits and Certificates of Occupancy.
  15. Coordinate utilities and upload drawings to Procore.
  16. Establish procedures for problem and information request handling.
  17. Maintain current drawings reflecting all changes.
  18. Implement project start-up and close-out procedures.
  19. Follow safety practices as outlined in company policies.
  20. Mentor less experienced staff and delegate tasks as directed.
Required Attributes

Team spirit is essential. Must work well under deadlines, be proficient in Microsoft Office, familiar with construction management software, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Personal qualities should include integrity, credibility, commitment, multi-tasking ability, organization, clarity in communication, positivity, and friendliness.

Degrees, Licenses, Certifications, and Experience

A four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of five years' experience in construction management or related field.

Reporting

Report directly to the Director of Construction.

Evaluation

Annual review by the Director of Construction, including peer input, based on engagement, demonstration of company values, workload management, and competency.
