Job Description

The responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager - Design Build Construction include:

  1. Project Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities to meet project deadlines.
  2. Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records, including project schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, submittals, and RFIs (Request for Information).
  3. Communication: Serve as a point of contact between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  4. Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project budgets, preparing cost reports, and implementing cost control measures to keep projects within financial constraints.
  5. Quality Assurance: Visit sites as needed with the Project Manager or in their absence.
  6. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve project-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions and delays.
  7. Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and safety standards.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Project Manager - Design Build Construction role will possess:

  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction
  • Experience in multifamily residential or high-end custom homes is a plus
  • Procore experience
  • Familiarity with standard construction processes, preferably on ground-up high-value projects
  • A degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Design Build experience is highly preferred but not mandatory
