Job summary

Synergy Siteworks in Central Florida is seeking an entry-level Assistant Project Manager. The role trains you across estimating, field operations, subcontractor coordination and project closeout under seasoned managers.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or construction management background or 2 years' relevant experience, strong computer skills, and a willingness to travel to active job sites. We offer mentorship and a clear path to a Project Manager role, with 75% remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of civil/architectural drawings.
• Understanding of Microsoft Project or similar construction scheduling software.
• Hands-on proficiency with Procore; willingness to learn.
• Strong comfort with computers, technology, and Excel.
• Willingness to learn AI tools and emerging software.
• Willingness to travel to active Central Florida job sites; valid driver's license; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations Manager with day-to-day project management and site visits.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trade partners; resolve field issues.
• Support pre-construction and estimating activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules (MS Project).
• Support Procore documentation, RFIs, submittals, logs, and punch lists.
• Assist with change orders, budgets, and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Prepare progress updates for meetings and client communication.
• Ensure quality and safety on site; support closeout and warranties.
• Help refine standard processes, checklists, and procedures.
