Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation in Merritt Island, FL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee construction efforts, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and design conformance. You will interface with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to keep projects on track. Ideal candidate holds a B.S.

in Civil Engineering or related field, has at least 5 years in civil construction, and is OSHA 10 certified. Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills are essential to guide project

Responsibilities

• Comply with Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to Safety first.
• Review project features with the Estimating Department.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule with the Project Engineer and Superintendent.
• Prepare submittals, letters, approvals, and cost breakdowns for work items.
• Develop project organization charts and material storage plans.
• Sign off on budgets prior to construction start and manage project costs.
• Submit cost revisions and change order logs to the regional office.
• Coordinate all project activities to meet milestones and ensure job continuity.
• Attend punch list inspections and closeout meetings.
• Maintain contact with project Owner and Architect/Engineer for retainage reductions and final payment.
