Job summary

Keeley Construction in Winter Haven, FL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Paving Group. You will support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and field coordination to keep projects on track and within budget.

This onsite role requires collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, a focus on safety and quality, and the ability to coach field crews. Minimum qualifications include a related degree or equivalent experience and at least one year of project management

• Minimum of 1 year of project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet milestones.
• Monitor safety protocols and quality standards on project sites.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with specs.
• Serve as primary client contact, addressing inquiries and updates.
• Foster relationships with local authorities and stakeholders.
• Track expenses and manage budgets to optimize profitability.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resources.
• Lead and motivate field staff, engineers, and support personnel.
• Work onsite and manage field crews; provide coaching and development.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular project updates.
• Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, community members, and regulatory agencies.
• Track project expenses, review cost reports, and manage project budgets to optimize profitability.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient resource management strategies.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including field staff, engineers, and support personnel.
• Ability to work onsite and manage field crews.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or in pursuit in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of project management experience.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in an organization.
• Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite.
