Southern Contracting, LLC is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of heavy civil construction projects. You will work with Project Managers and Superintendents to review plans, manage submittals, coordinate schedules, vendors, and subcontractors, and prepare field reports for leadership.

Formación

• U.S. Citizenship is required to meet federal project requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required; Construction Management is a preferred alternative.
• 1 year of experience in heavy civil construction is preferred, though strong graduates may apply.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Assistant Project Engineer, you will:

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (required) - candidates must be U.S. Citizens to meet federal project requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required) or Construction Management (preferred alternative).
• 1 years of experience in heavy civil construction preferred, though entry-level candidates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to pass State & Federal background checks to access military bases and Federal facilities.
• Civil Engineer license or active progress toward licensure is a plus.
