Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Assistant Project Manager based in Tampa, Florida, to join our CM construction management team. The role emphasizes safety, excellence, and innovation while supporting the project management team on moderate-size programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Superintendents, tracking costs and schedules, managing change orders, and reporting progress at meetings. Local on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant curriculum plus 2 years of experience or equivalency.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to be based in Tampa, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
• Organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training.
• Interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
• Assists with and monitors change orders and other construction documentation.
• Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
• Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
• May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant curriculum + 2 years of relevant experienceor demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience from a larger GC is preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• OSHA 10, 30.
• The ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Experience with building envelope trades and other relevant subcontractors.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam or other relevant construction management software.
• Exposure to project scheduling.
