Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the Sterling Heights area with experience in electrical contracting or general contracting. The role focuses on helping plan and execute construction projects, managing budgets, and coordinating with teams to ensure quality and safety.

Salary ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 per year with 401k match, PTO, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of RFIs, quality control, change orders, submittals, cost control, contract management, negotiation, planning, scheduling, construction safety, and blueprint reading.

Responsabilités

• Assisting the Project Manager in planning and executing construction projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality.
• Managing and monitoring project costs to ensure budget compliance, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling costs.
• Reviewing and managing contracts to meet terms and identify risks.
• Negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders for favorable terms.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and coordinating activities to stay on track.
• Ensuring construction safety by implementing and monitoring safety protocols and training.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to align construction activities with design specifications.

Responsibilities

1. Assisting the Project Manager in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

2. Managing and monitoring project costs to ensure budget compliance, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling costs.

3. Reviewing and managing contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met and that any potential risks are identified and mitigated.

4. Negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure the best possible terms for our projects.

5. Developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with team members and stakeholders to ensure that all activities are on track.

6. Ensuring construction safety by implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and providing safety training to team members.

7. Reading and interpreting blueprints, ensuring that all construction activities align with the design specifications.

Qualifications
