Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Project Coordinator to help maintain safety, assist project managers, and ensure HVAC and plumbing installations meet code and schedule targets.

This role supports planning, budgeting, documentation, and vendor/subcontractor coordination while contributing to monthly cost reviews and project closeout. A degree in construction or mechanical fields and 0–2 years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–2 years' experience in the industry.
• Thorough knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Detail‑oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by coordinating safety meetings, incident investigations, and maintaining employee involvement.
• Assist project managers and superintendents in executing the project life cycle.
• Work with the Project Manager to ensure proper planning and management of the installation of HVAC and plumbing to meet code and project requirements and to bring the installation on time and under budget.
• Participate in operation, corporate, and departmental meetings, as required to successfully execute the project and/or departmental goals.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparation of vendor and subcontractor purchase orders, submittals, and shop drawings to reflect contract drawings, specifications, and estimates.
• Actively participate in monthly reports and cost reviews, capturing deviations from plan or schedule.
• Work with the project team to bring the project on time and under budget.
• Assist the Project Manager as needed with estimating change orders, project documentation, and project close‑out, including commissioning requirements.
• Actively participate with the project team on all facets of the project life cycle to ensure project goals are met, while developing a skillset to progress one's career in the mechanical industry.
