Job summary

CMC Design Build, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the Greater Boston area to support project teams from start-up through close-out. You will assist with files, schedules, drawings, and vendor coordination on commercial construction projects.

The role requires a degree in Construction Management or Engineering, at least 1 year of relevant US-based experience, and proficiency in MS Office. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Construction Management or Engineering Degree preferred.
• Located in Greater Boston area or willing to relocate immediately (not relocation reimbursement provided).
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with Commercial Construction experience within the United States.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Dependable with a sense of urgency, organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Takes initiative and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers from start-up to close out.
• Prepare and maintain files, schedules, & logs.
• Drawing Reviews.
• Locate vendors, prepare bid packages, & receive proposals.
• Draft purchase orders, subcontracts and change orders.
• Assist with the permitting process.
• Distribute drawings to and communicate with subcontractors and field personnel.
• Assist with invoice review and coding.
• Visit the sites regularly and participate in the construction process.
• Assist with punch list and preparation of close out materials.
