Job summary

Kelso Industries is hiring a Project Manager to lead construction projects across HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical scopes. You will assist in documentation, budgeting, scheduling, subcontracting, and vendor coordination.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and cost-control skills, with OSHA/CPR training and a related degree or PM certification as assets. Expect competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in project management or BS/BA degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
• PMP, CCM, or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR Training
• Commercial/Industrial HVAC knowledge
• Previous leadership experience with strong leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, management, and storage of all project documentation
• Actively participate in project hand-off meetings to ensure important job information is gathered before proceeding into construction phase
• Assist the PM in preparing the budgets
• Assist in developing and managing the construction schedule
• Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders as requested
• Contractually and collaboratively manage subcontractors and their related performance
• Collect, organize, and distribute materials and equipment submittals as required
• Create and distribute RFI's for clarification of project specifics
• Work with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Collaboratively help price, negotiate, and formalize all changes in project scope
• Work closely with Superintendents on their requests for resources, materials, equipment, etc.
• Manage safety, quality, and productivity of the project
