Job summary

Zar Property NY is seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager to lead interior fit-outs in our commercial office buildings. This is an on-site role focused on moving projects forward while coordinating day-to-day activities.

You will manage tenant fit-outs in coordination with landlords and tenants, supervise on-site trades, review scopes with contractors, and track schedules, deliveries, and punch lists.

Qualifications

• Strong eye for quality, detail, and finish work.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in occupied office buildings.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenant fit-outs in coordination with the landlord and tenant
• Be on-site and manage day-to-day construction activities
• Show projects to contractors and review the scope of work with them
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and different trades
• Make sure everyone understands what needs to be done
• Monitor schedules, progress, deliveries, and deadlines
• Accept and organize deliveries of construction materials
• Oversee tenant move-outs and space turnovers
• Coordinate maintenance and repair projects
• Check the quality of the work and make sure all finishes are acceptable
• Make sure completed work meets the expectations of the landlord and tenant
• Create and follow up on punch lists until everything is completed
• Communicate with owners, tenants, building supers, building staff, and contractors
• Handle unexpected issues and be able to make decisions and work on the fly
