Qualifications

• 0–3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Construction, engineering or project coordination experience preferred.
• Public works or school project experience preferred.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience with façade restoration, building envelope, glazing, masonry or exterior construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day management of façade and building envelope projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field teams and clients.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Track project schedules, materials and deliveries.
• Assist with project meetings and progress reporting.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Support project closeout and punch-list activities.
• Communicate with field teams to keep projects on schedule.
• Learn technical and commercial aspects of façade restoration and building envelope construction.

A well-established specialty contractor is looking to add two Assistant Project Managers to its growing team in Queens.

The APMs will support a range of façade restoration and building envelope projects, with a strong focus on schools and public-sector projects throughout New York City.

This is a great opportunity for someone with existing construction experience to develop their career within the façade and building envelope industry. The company is also open to early-career candidates with the right attitude, energy and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Motivated, energetic and eager to develop within the construction industry
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required
