Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Miami, FL to support Project Managers and deliver projects for clients in the hospitality sector.

You will help set up projects, run execution, manage financials, and closeouts while coordinating with clients, owners, subs, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related industry is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in construction management with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience with buy-out processes, RFIs, change orders and submittals.
• Experience with Procore, CMiC, MS Office or similar PM software is a plus.
• Ability to navigate blueprints.
• Field and/or procurement experience is a plus.
• Must have flexibility for required business travel.

Responsibilities

• Weak: Assist the Project Manager with project set up, project execution, project closeout, financial management and relationship management.
• Ensure proper tools and processes are in place prior to the beginning of a project.
• Manage the construction administration process from pre-construction through close-out.
• Collaborate and work with clients, owners, subs and First Finish staff.

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers in building and delivering exceptional services catered to our clients' specific goals and concerns.
