Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction in New York, NY, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers in delivering client-focused construction services. The role covers project setup, execution, close-out, financial management, and relationship management.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management and 3–5 years of experience with a commercial general contractor, plus experience with Procore, CMiC, and MS Office.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field (a plus).
• 3–5 years of experience in construction management with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience with Procore, CMiC, MS Office Suites or other project management software.
• Experience managing small projects or as part of a project team on larger, more complex projects.
• Flexibility to travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that proper tools and processes are in place prior to the beginning of a project.
• Manage the construction administration process from pre-construction through close-out.
• Collaborate and work with clients, owners, subs, and Shawmut staff

Salary Range Information

NYC Base Salary Range: $71,000 - $85,000 The range stated is specific to New York City. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
