Summary/Objective

An integral team member who collaborates on the management and execution of a project safely and profitably.

Essential Functions

Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents and payment terms. Review and approve invoices, subcontractor payments, and cost reports, identifying variances and potential claims. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all project records, including daily reports, logs, photos, and meeting minutes. Manage the project budget, monitor cost performance, optimize work methods, and ensure proper documentation and submission of change orders and claims. Mentor project engineers and interns, and enforce company policies across the team. Negotiate, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely payments and resolution of disputes or changes. Represent the company professionally in all interactions, maintaining strong relationships and handling negotiations with integrity. Enforce company and OSHA safety standards, ensuring a safe work environment across all project activities.

Supervisory Requirements

This position will have direct reports and supervisory requirements.

Work Environment

Additionally, a pressurized environment is the norm. The employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to navigate rugged terrain, climb substantial heights, and work over and on water. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. This position sometimes requires long hours and weekend work.

Travel

The role could require regional travel within the assigned Division.

Required Education and Experience
