Job Overview
Fox Construction Inc., Steamboat Springs' longest-standing general contractor, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll support our Estimators, Project Managers, and Superintendents throughout all phases of high-end residential and commercial construction projects - from estimating and bidding through project completion. You'll play a critical part in coordinating operations, maintaining schedules, managing documentation, and ensuring our signature quality is delivered at every stage. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Estimating & Preconstruction:
- Assist in preparing and distributing bid documents and subcontractor bid lists.
- Support bid analysis, scope letter development, and bid submissions, including obtaining bid bonds when required.
- Help organize design-build meetings and support permit application processes.
- Assist in preparing budgets, cash flow projections, subcontract agreements, and purchase orders.
- Facilitate the start-up of job sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and resource allocation.
- Construction Phase Support:
- Assist working foremen and project managers with day-to-day operations, subcontractor coordination, and safety compliance.
- Monitor material orders and deliveries, focusing on long lead-time procurement.
- Help maintain project documentation, including daily reports, work orders, material tracking, and schedule updates.
- Prepare for and participate in O.A.C. meetings and weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Track project progress and assist with pay applications, change orders, and budget adjustments.
- Post-Construction & Client Transition:
- Coordinate project punch lists, final inspections, and project demobilization.
- Support client system training and turnover documentation (as-built drawings, owner's manuals).
- Assist with warranty work management and the one-year post-construction walk-through.
- Participate in project close-out reviews with the management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of construction project management support experience (or combination of education and experience).
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, estimating, and field operations.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work outdoors year-round in varied weather conditions.
- Must be a team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Proficiency in English (Spanish language skills a plus).
- Valid Driver's License required.

Work Schedule
Full-Time, Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
Work Location:
Steamboat Springs, Colorado and surrounding counties (Routt, Moffat, and Jackson).
