About the Opportunity

The Assistant Project Manager supports project delivery from planning through closeout, working alongside the Project Manager to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and within scope. This role combines administrative coordination with hands-on project support, acting as a communication link between the project team, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.

This role will travel about 30-40% to client and project locations.

Essential Functions
  • Organize project files, maintain project databases, and track progress against schedule and milestones.
  • Prepare cost estimates, invoices, and progress reports; assist with budget tracking, expense monitoring, and change order documentation.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and site visits; review and respond to requests for information (RFIs).
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep deliverables and deadlines on track.
  • Review contracts and coordinate technical or design plans; monitor material deliveries and equipment logistics.
  • Support field activities, including Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) where applicable, and confirm work meets safety and code requirements.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication between clients, project team members, and the Project Manager to keep projects moving smoothly.
Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree.
  • 2-5 years of project coordination experience in construction, engineering, or power generation; industry-specific experience in electrical or power generation is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of project management software such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Primavera, or Procore, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or similar entry-level project management certification is a plus, though not required.
