Job summary

CMC Development & Construction in Dallas is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in planning, coordinating and managing onsite construction activities for commercial projects.

You will support project engineering, scheduling, and client communications, interfacing with engineering, subcontractors and management to keep projects on track and quality-aligned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent construction management experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Solid knowledge of planning and scheduling processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions to support the construction schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction planning, design interpretation, and constructability reviews.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures and controlling documents.
• Represent the company and project during meetings with A/E, client and project management.
• Coordinate on-site departments to resolve problems and maintain quality and schedule.
• May be responsible for one or more small to medium projects.

The Assistant Project Manager will assist in planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction activities for commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities. Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controllingdocuments.
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, insupport of overall project schedule.
• May be responsible for one or more small to medium sized projects.

Qualifications

• BS or BA Construction Management or equivalent construction management experience.
• Working knowledge of the respective industry
• Strong communication skills to achieve project alignment with internal and external organizations including engineering, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Working knowledge of planning and scheduling processes
• 2 to 5 Years Construction Management Experience
