Job summary

The Bell Company, a large employee-owned mechanical contractor, seeks a Mechanical Assistant Project Manager to work on hospitals, laboratories, and large industrial/institutional projects. Hanover, MD region, with initial assignment in Baltimore; pay range $70k-$95k per year.

You will support schedules, cost control, procurement, and quality/safety across projects; must have at least 3 years of heavy industrial/construction experience with mechanical piping; a 4-year engineering or construction

Qualifications

  • Experience with a self-perform Mechanical contractor.
  • At least 3 years' experience in heavy industrial and institutional construction with mechanical piping and advanced plumbing.
  • Experience with management controls (schedules, cost control, procurement and quality/safety) during project execution.
  • Experience with detailed submittal processes.
  • Must have problem solving skills and be familiar with mechanical and plumbing system installation.

Responsibilities

  • Support PM on hospitals, laboratories, and large industrial/institutional projects.
  • Assist with schedules, cost control, procurement and quality/safety during project execution.
  • Coordinate submittals and documentation using project controls software.
  • Help manage installation and operation of mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Prepare for OSHA 30 or related safety requirements and ensure safety standards are followed.

PAY RANGE:$70-$95k / YEAR FOR MECHANICAL ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Job Specific Requirements
  • Experience must be with a self-perform Mechanical contractor.
  • The candidate must have AT LEAST 3 years' experience in Heavy Industrial and Institutional Construction with a background in mechanical process piping and advanced plumbing systems.
  • Must have demonstrated exposure and experience with management controls (i.e., schedules, cost control, procurement and quality/safety) facilitated during project execution.
  • Must have experience with detailed submittal processesMust have problem solving skills and be completely familiar with mechanical and plumbing system installation and operation.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Suite as well as project controls and organizing software4 year degree in an Engineering discipline or Construction Management is required and Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial and institutional mechanical construction.
