Job summary

The Burt Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Austin to join a high-performing team. You will partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects moving, ensure tight documentation, and align teams from kickoff to closeout.

This role offers growth into a Project Manager position within a collaborative, one-team environment. You’ll develop skills in scheduling, submittals, RFIs, pay apps, and cost control, while mentoring newer engineers and advancing your career with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once
• Strong communicator across all levels of a project team
• Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Sage 100
• A fast learner who is comfortable picking up new tools and systems

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily project activities across scheduling, documentation, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and change orders
• Attend and support construction and financial meetings, manage projects in Procore
• Help maintain committed costs and owner pay apps on a monthly basis
• Mentor newer Project Engineers on the team

This is a role for someone who is organized, proactive, and ready to be in the middle of the action. You'll work closely with our Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects moving, documentation tight, and teams aligned from kickoff to closeout.

What you'll be doing

You'll attend and support construction and financial meetings, manage projects in Procore, and help maintain committed costs and owner pay apps on a monthly basis.
