ADMINISTRATIVE DRAPERY COORDINATOR

CORE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to convert fractions to decimals and perform basic calculations using a calculator.
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially in tracking the status of multiple purchase orders manually.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while staying organized and focused.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills; professional phone and email etiquette.
- Courteous, respectful, and patient demeanor when interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
- A collaborative team player who also works well independently and takes initiative.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Quick to learn, self-reliant, and resourceful in navigating new processes and adapting to evolving needs.
- Proficient in technology with experience in QuickBooks, Microsoft Windows, and Apple products.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
- Must currently live in New Jersey, USA.
- 2–5 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or estimating role.
- Associates/College degree is preferred but not required.
- Background or education in Logistics, Accounting, AR/AP, Business Management.
- Experience or background/knowledge in interior design, fabrics, or drapery is preferred but not required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you'll support our Estimating and Sales team by ensuring every detail of a project is accurately priced, documented, and tracked—from fabric orders to final installation.
- Order and manage fabric samples for client presentations and approvals.
- Assist in preparing accurate pricing estimates for custom drapery, window shades, and upholstery projects.
- Calculate fabric yardages based on specifications and design needs.
- Create and manage proposals and estimates using QuickBooks.
- Track and manage the status of all purchase orders, including fabric shipments and materials.
- Coordinate fabric deliveries to various workrooms and ensure production timelines are met.
- Monitor project readiness and coordinate with the scheduling team for installation.
- Draft installation notes for our installer team, including measurements, mounting details, and client-specific instructions.
- Occasionally assist with client communications, including collecting deposits or final payments.
