Job summary

  • Backs up timely execution of supplemental energy assistance awards (Safety Nets, Operation Fuel).

JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION TITLE: Assistant Program ManagerDEPARTMENT: EnergyFLSA STATUS: ExemptPAY GRADE: 8REPORTS TO: Director Energy ServicesGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESThe purpose of this position is to support the Agency’s needs by providing responsibility for daily operation of the of Energy Assistance programs in accordance with state, federal, and Operation Fuel regulations, and to the expectation of Community Renewal Team (CRT) standards.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. It is not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.Ensures timely certification of mailed-in energy applications/homebound; conducts and reports to management team weekly quality assurance measures for the same.Produces weekly report on aged energy applications.Works with CRT IT on the installation, maintenance, and proper usage of CAPTAIN software in town-staffed Energy Intake sites.Troubleshoots with CRT IT and Captain personnel with software issues.Works with Program Services Coordinator(s) to train town, permanent and seasonally hired staff on current year Energy Assistance Program regulations and CRT policies and procedures related to the same.Back-up the timely execution of supplemental energy assistance awards, e.g. Safety Nets, Operation Fuel, additional state/federal allocations.Maintains adequate program supplies at Energy Services base and satellite CRT Energy Assistance intake sites.Maintains adequate PPE inventory for Energy staff.Building key holder.Creates intake staff work schedules.Assists with training and monitoring of new staff initiatives to increase program customer recruitment.ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONSProvides ad hoc program reports as requested.Performs all other duties as assigned.MINIMUM EUCATIONAL AND TRAINING EXPERIENCEEducation: Associates Degree in human, social services, or a related field required. May consider years of appropriate experience to be substituted for educational requirement.Minimum Years of Experience: Five years of experience working in the area of human services delivery and staff supervision.Demonstrated Skills: Solid verbal and writing skills and computer literate. Must be able to effectively relate to persons of various racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.Driving Required: YES Agency Vehicle: NO Employee’s Own Vehicle: YESActive Driver License in good standing required upon hire and throughout employment.ADA COMPLIANCEPhysical Ability: Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, violence, disease, or pathogenic substances.
