Job summary

Lantern Community Services Inc. is seeking an Assistant Program Director for Euclid-Glenmore in Brooklyn.

The role requires strong supervisory, clinical, and administrative capabilities to ensure housing stability and quality of life for residents in a new supportive housing development. You will supervise Case Managers, collaborate with program leadership, and coordinate services with community partners while promoting trauma-informed care and harm reduction across the site.

Qualifications

  • MSW or MHC; license required within one year of employment.
  • One year of supervisory experience in social services.
  • Knowledge of mental health, substance use, young adults, and homelessness populations.
  • Experience working with OMH, DOHMH, and HASA contract managers and funders.
  • Strong trauma-informed engagement, written and verbal communication, and teamwork.
  • Commitment to harm reduction model and client-centered approaches.
  • Ability to take initiative, exercise good judgment, and manage priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience using databases to document and report work with clients and staff.
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, belonging, inclusion, and justice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and coaching to case management staff.
  • Promote learning and professional development.
  • Review documentation for high standards of care and quality.
  • Conduct internal chart reviews with the team.
  • Review dashboards and monthly reports to track outcomes.
  • Support development of site-specific policies and reporting tools.
  • Co-facilitate staff, clinical, and community meetings.
  • Develop treatment plans and assess safety with the clinical team.
  • Identify community resources and coordinate referrals.
  • Develop supervision plans and accountability systems.
  • Ensure harm reduction approaches are used in resident support.
  • Identify training needs for the clinical team.
  • Engage residents through apartment visits and community activities.
  • Collaborate with partners to support housing stability and transitions.
  • Collaborate with cross buildings to access services.
  • Coordinate funder reporting, incidents, and audits.
  • Develop client-centered groups and programming.
  • Hire and train new staff and manage disciplinary processes.
  • Prepare and review incident reports and funder communications.
  • Oversee day-to-day program management with/without the Program Director.
