Job summary

Catholic Guardian Services is seeking an experienced Assistant Program Director to oversee two residential programs serving Unaccompanied Children. This role supervises Residential Managers, Lead Clinicians, and Lead Case Managers to ensure safe, trauma-informed, and compliant operations.

You will coordinate staffing, training, budgets, and program readiness for ORR monitoring visits and licensing reviews. This position requires a Master’s degree, 5+ years in related fields, supervisory

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related behavioral science field.
  • At least five years of relevant residential child welfare or related experience.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and residential program operations.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, staffing, safety, programming, and resident care across two residential programs.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate multidisciplinary leadership staff.
  • Ensure compliance with ORR requirements, licensing standards, and agency policies.
  • Monitor service plans, documentation, incidents, grievances, and quality‑assurance findings.
  • Prepare programs for ORR monitoring visits, audits, investigations, and licensing reviews.
  • Oversee staffing coverage, staff training compliance, budgets, and corrective action plans.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide leadership outside regular business hours.

Salary: $82,000 - $85,000 annually

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, staffing, safety, programming, and resident care across two residential programs.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate multidisciplinary leadership staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Public Administration, Education, or a related behavioral science.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in residential child welfare, behavioral health, foster care, juvenile justice, or a comparable human-services setting.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, child development, crisis intervention, and residential program operations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies outside regular business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ORR regulations and the ORR Policy Guide.
  • LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent professional license.
  • Experience overseeing multiple residential programs.
