Summary
The Assistant Clinical Director (ACD) is responsible for providing direct clinical supervision to clinical staff within the division’s Article 31 licensed outpatient mental health or Part 822 licensed OASAS clinic programs. The ACD ensures clinicians meet agency expectations and best practice standards.

Compensation: $90,000-$94,000 per year
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and approves diagnosis-based progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments for a team of 15-20 clinicians.
- Provides clinical supervision to assigned clinicians ensuring client care is consistent with standards of best practice and principles of social work/therapeutic practice.
- Assesses and addresses teams’ clinical competence via methods including chart reviews, participation in clinical sessions, and tracking patterns of non-compliance.
- Enhances best practice through discussions, case conferences, clinical consultations, debriefings, etc.
- Maintains clinical supervision logs to ensure appropriate supervision is provided.
- Assigns caseloads appropriate to staff’s expertise, experience, and qualifications.
- Cooperates with incident management, UR/UM, quality assurance, and CQI expectations, including audits and reviews.
- Ensures compliance with clinical documentation standards and regulations through regular reviews.
- Provides coverage for team members as needed, including administrative site coverage.
- Supervises and participates in the student intern program, as applicable.
- Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Best Practice to assess and inform training and development needs.
- Functions as lead in targeted tracks/programs within the program in collaboration with peers.
- Provides in-person supervisory coverage for staff and urgent facility matters at assigned sites.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Program/Department, including onboarding, case assignment, performance reviews, and concern resolution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
- 3-5 years of social work experience.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Aptitude for training staff.
