Assistant Program Director

Schedule: Full Time Schedule: Sunday 9 am-5 pm, Monday 9 am-5 pm, Tuesday 9 am-5 pm, Wednesday 9 am-5 pm, Thursday 9 am-5 pm

Job Description

Fulfills programmatic responsibilities by providing quality living support for disabled individuals. Supports, teaches, and facilitates choices for individuals residing in NeArc residential homes and within their communities. Assists with the day-to-day operation of the residence.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate knowledge of and implement Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures, including the Code of Conduct, Residential Division Standards, and Funding Source Regulations.
  2. Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing, grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
  3. Provide individuals with opportunities for growth, including learning new skills and increasing independence, whenever possible.
  4. Complete ISP documentation, incident reporting, and other necessary documentation in accordance with Northeast Policies and Procedures and funding Regulations.
  5. Assist in scheduling staff and appointments; support payroll as assigned.
Requirements
  1. BS/BA preferred; HS Diploma/GED and two years of Human Service Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or within human services.
  2. Maintain certifications as required in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures, including but not limited to: First Aid, CPR, MAPs, Vehicle Safety, UP, Human Rights Officer, and Formal Fire Safety Trained.
  3. Maintain a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
  4. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary, and lift/transfer individuals.
  5. Work in the community in a home setting with multiple residents or individuals living independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Hourly Pay: Up to $24/hr.
