Job Description
The AssistantProgram Directorsupervises professional and paraprofessional staff to ensurea high levelof performance in their work withassigned clients.This position willreporttotheProgramDirector.
HYBRID SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday (Sundays will be an onsite day)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assistant Program Directorinsupervisingstaff and program activities
- Work closely with clinicDoctors,PsychiatricNurse Practitionersand Clinical Practice Manager
- Assistwithplanning and conducting in-service training for staff
- Review case records to ensure that they meet regulatory requirements
- Reviewclinical andadministrative reportswith staff, ensuring compliance with agency policies.
- Provideindividual and group supervision to clinicians as assigned bythe ProgramDirector.
- Evaluatethe qualityof individual workers and helpto improve the performance of workers
- Prepare written evaluations,Corrective Action Plans, and disciplinary actions, asrequired
- Crucial member on a clinical team, collaborating with doctors, clinical supervisors, and therapists to discuss clinical challenges and todeterminefuture treatmentplan.
- Maintain and review program policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date and followed by clinical staff.
- Provide crisis interventionandassistwith client needs as necessary
- Performother duties as assigned bytheProgramDirector.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited school in Social WorkorMental Health Counseling
- Must be licensed by the state of New York in theirprofessional discipline (LCSW OR LMHC)
- SIFI certification and experience supervising Interns is a plus
- 4 or moreyearsofpost-graduate experience as a supervisor in a mental health facility
- Able to be on-call during off-hours and weekends by cell phone; available for consultation on an as-needed basis
- Outstandingengagement, interpersonal communication skills,and ableto work collaboratively with other disciplines, including clinical and clerical staff
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong demonstration of professionalism
- Takes initiative, prioritizes, andadjusts to change well
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that aretimelyand effective
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPointand Teams.
- Ableto workwellin a fast-paced environment
- Maintains a positive attitude and is friendly, upbeat, and has a great “can do” personality
