Job summary

Rediscovery Independent Living is seeking an Assistant Program Director to help lead our independent living program for youth ages 18–24. The role supports residential, clinical, and nursing services to ensure trauma-informed care and high-quality outcomes for residents.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years in a residential treatment setting, including three years in supervisory roles. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

  • Five years’ experience in a residential treatment program for the population served, with at least three years at the supervisor/management level.
  • Experience overseeing and managing multiple departments or systems.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director in providing oversight and leadership to residential, clinical, and nursing services to ensure trauma-informed care across domains.
  • Provide leadership toward the program's mission and supervise Rediscovery Independent Living’s Administrative Team including Clinical, Residential and Nursing Directors.
  • Oversee operations to ensure services meet licensing and regulatory requirements.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Program Directorat Rediscovery Independent Living! We are an independent living program that houses young men and women ages 18 to 24 years old in small efficient-type apartments or shared living housing. Our program is designed to support the youth we serve as they become successful and productive community members.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $48,000 to $103,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

JRI Provides The Training So That:

  • YOU will be able to assist the Program Director in providing oversight and leadership to the staff including the residential, clinical and nursing services at Rediscovery Independent Living to ensure that across all domains, youth are receiving state of the art, trauma informed care.
  • YOU will be able to provide leadership toward the mission and vision of the program and provide direct supervision to Rediscovery Independent Living’s Administrative Team including Clinical, Residential and Nursing Directors and be responsible for the provision of all services to youth and families, including but not limited to residential, educational and clinical services.
  • YOU will be able to provide responsibilities for the operations of all client's services and support set forth by licensing and regulatory partners.

Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degreein psychology, education, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least five years’ experience in a residential treatment program for population served, with at least three years at the supervisor/management level.
  • Must have experience overseeing and managing multiple departments and or systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and leadership abilities.
  • Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
  • Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
