Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland seeks an Assistant Professor in Vascular Surgery to provide comprehensive care using open and endovascular techniques and to advance clinical outcomes.

The role leads the Vein Program and Wound Center, directs quality initiatives, mentors students and residents, and participates in teaching, research, and scholarly activities to strengthen the academic mission.

Qualifications

MD/DO with Board Certification in Vascular Surgery.
DEA certification is required.
Oregon medical licensure and hospital privileges are required.
Strong communication, change management, and team-building skills.
Commitment to teaching and mentoring; academic track record appropriate to rank.
Ensure vascular surgery services are available seven days per week, 24 hours a day by participating in group scheduling and call responsibilities.
Performs a broad range of vascular surgical procedures with competence in open and endovascular approaches.

Responsibilities

Lead the Vein Program's strategic development, growth, and operational performance.
Serve as Medical Director of the OHSU Wound Center.
Oversee comprehensive wound care for complex cases and ensure clinical outcomes.
Develop, implement, and improve evidence-based protocols and care pathways.
Monitor quality metrics and patient outcomes to drive improvements.
Participate in teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activities for students and residents.
