Job summary

The Department of Surgery at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine, USA Health, invites applications for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join our expanding academic practice.

Appointment at the Assistant Professor level, with a broad clinical role in open and endovascular surgery, teaching of students and residents, and opportunities for research and scholarly activity across USA Health University Hospital, Providence Hospital, and affiliated clinics.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and eligibility for Alabama medical licensure
• Completed an ACGME-accredited Vascular Surgery fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient vascular surgical care, including open and endovascular procedures, with equitable call coverage
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across USA Health locations to plan and deliver care
• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, fellows and advanced practice providers
• Engage in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives and scholarly activities supporting the Department of Surgery and the University of South Alabama
